Basically ANY hi impedance mic should work with the 101.
I bought a $9 articulated bench lamp with clamp and discarded the lamp head
and wiring. I then ran new audio cable up through the articulated arm and
have a studio grade mic attached to the end of the articulated arm where the
lamp assembly originally was connected.
Although this is a cheapie ($20) RS mic and it is low impedance (for use
with my Elecraft K2) you can duplicate the boom/articulated arm for next to
nothing.
If I had the extra cash, I'd go with the Heil Goldline, but only the mic.
You don't need to pay the price for the boom/articulated arm and mic holder.
A little "amateur radio ingenuity" will work out nicely.
