This is an open question, and you can reply via direct email rather than use
up the bandwidth in this forum if you like. You can use [email protected] and it
will find me.
I have been using a Kenwood TS-570 D for sometime now, mostly cranked down
to QRP levels. However, there have been times when I wish I had that extra
'punch' to get through to some stations. I know Heath put out two amps
which I see in here often, the SB-200 and SB-220. I'm looking for comments
if you don't mind. Any problems with them; are the tubes they used still
available and 'reasonable'; any operational problems; any advice on other
units; etc.
I don't want to spend the $$$ for some of the other big gun brands I've seen
advertised out there. I just want something reasonable, will work reliably,
clean signal, and will help out in those rare pileups I might try and work.
Thanks in advance for any and all comments I get!
