[Heathkit] SB200 Fan motor dumb question

For what it is worth, I have an SB-200 that sat for perhaps 15 years. The 
unit worked fine except for the tubes and the fan. Apparently, the last owner 
had never replaced what had been soft finals. So, I took care of that. The 
fan, however, did not turn. I decided that some "sewing machine oil" might be 
in order -- nothing ventured, nothing gained. I was able to soak the felt 
pads in the bearings with the oil and after a few minutes the fan because 
easy to turn. Now it seems to work fine. So, oiling is fine!!
