[Heathkit] Heathkit PS3 mods?

Just wanted to know if anyone has changed their PS3 from using 1619 tubes to 6L6's.

Looking at it on paper, it may be economical to do the change if you already have a stock of 6L6's. New 6L6's (from Sovtek) are going for about $10+ with the 1619's coming from Antique ES for about $8 or so (with the difference being that the 6L6's have 6.3 Vac filaments while the 1619's have 2.5 VAC filaments).
