[Heathkit] Inrush current and tube rigs

For some time now I have been contemplating the desire for a current
inrush limiter in my HP23A P/S. As another possibility, I have a NOS
Tung-Sol time delay relay which plugs into an octal socket and could
be used to create a delay of the B+ after filament voltage is applied.

I guess what I really want to know, can any of these procedures be
used to advantage in the old tube rigs? I know it is important in the
linear amplifiers, or at least should be.

Just looking for something more to tinker with (but my wife thinks
it's top priority, an urgent requirement)
