[HCRA] Field Day with the HCRA

Attention All Hams,

June 24-26th is Field Day weekend. It is the most fun ham radio weekend
event that everyone looks forward to. Will you be participating this year?

Friday, June 24th at 1pm we start setting up. We need someone that can tow
5000 lbs or more to tow the trailer from Southwick to the Field Day site
and then Sunday afternoon, tow it back to its storage location in
Southwick.  Can YOU help tow?

We need help assembling antennas, erecting towers and organizing where the
stations will go. Can YOU help assemble?

Are YOU available?

Usually in 3-4 hours, 3 antennas can be built and mounted on the portable
towers and raised part of full way up.

Join us Friday night as we stay over at the Field Day site.  Can YOU do
that?

Saturday morning is complete antenna setup, setup tents and stations and
test everything. Plans are for 2 SSB stations and one CW station. Can YOU
help set up Saturday?

Can you operate? The fun begins at 2pm Saturday and runs 24 hours to 2pm
Sunday. If you want to operate a certain block of time and a certain mode,
let me know when that is. We will have 40m SSB, 20m SSB and 40m CW. When
would YOU like to operate?

Each year the HCRA does a Field Day picnic. Join us for hamburgers and
hotdogs and all sorts of good to go withs. We ask that you bring something
to share with everyone else food wise. What can YOU bring? Will YOU be
there? We need to know so we have enough food.

We also need ops for the middle of the night between 11pm and 7 am. Are YOU
available then? A bunch of us will be camping out Saturday night too. Join
us? Bring your tent, RV or whatnot and spend the night at the Field Day
site.

Sunday brings more operating to 2pm and then tear down. Are YOU available
to help?

We do have a workers and operators raffle again this year. Anyone who helps
or operates for 3 hours or more automatically gets a free raffle ticket and
could win a pair of Heil Proset headphones or a Soldering Station. The
prizes will be drawn once everything is taken down and stored back in the
trailer.

YOU can make a difference and have fun at Field Day this year. Make new
