Faye and I are going out hunting for it tomorrow. IF you'd like to join their group, go to: https://groups.io/ and create a free account. Then search for CT FoxHunters and join. Hints as to where and how to trigger the FoxBox so you can hunt it are on the website. Take a few pics and to post that you've found it. But do not post where. It's a great way to get out of the house for a few hours when you have the time. The HCRA will be doing this too sometime soon. Happy Hunting! 73, Larry, W1AST From computercare at comcast.net Mon Apr 6 17:13:29 2020 From: computercare at comcast.net (Larry Krainson) Date: Mon, 6 Apr 2020 17:13:29 -0400 Subject: [HCRA] Join us on the 10m Net Tonight! Today I was informed by the director of the School Street Park in Agawam; where the HCRA holds it's Field Day weekend; that the park will not be open until July 1st due to COVID-19. This is not really a big surprise but one that I was hoping would not arrive. I was told that should something change, and the park opens, we will have access to it again. I believe if that should happen and it is safe for us to be out in groups, that we could put together a Field Day effort with enough volunteers fairly quickly. But we will have to see. For now, everyone stay safe and healthy. Mostly cleared with plenty of shade. We also have 50+ foot trees for rigging antenna's, grid power close-by. However, that's less of a concern for Field Day. Would love HCRA to consider using our location for Field Day. Plenty of parking...especially for the late night fists. Campfires would also be nice to help keep the bug count down. We have water on the property...it gets nasty in terms of skeeters, but hey, it's field day in New England. Location is convenient. Just off Boston Road in Springfield. Near the Friendly's Ice Cream plant. (don't eat friendly's ice cream, if you have pride in your choice of dessert) Check us out on QRZ... I'd love to meet up to discuss. Zoom or whatever.... -Rich & Marcia KB1WDW & KB1WEP 413-250-6974 qrz.com/db/kb1wdw --- computercare at comcast.net wrote: From: Larry Krainson To: HCRA Email List Subject: [HCRA] Field Day 2020 Date: Mon, 27 Apr 2020 16:29:05 -0400 ______________________________________________ -------Hampden County Radio Association------- -----------e-mail list (reflector)------------- ______________________________________________ To all participants of Field Day with the HCRA.
