The HCRA Fox Hunt share the Knowledge session was a success. Yesterday 16
people assembled antennas and attenuators. Some learned about electronic
parts, assembly, soldering and more and had an enjoyable time doing so. A
few couldn’t make it, but will be assembling their kits another day.
The session would not have been a success without the assistance of the
following people. I can’t thank you enough for your help in making the day
a success:
-
Bob; K1YO – a huge help in making the attenuator kit project a reality
and his patience in helping everyone assemble and test their completed
projects was invaluable
-
Rich; KC1AEO – who used Bobs plans and drilled the holes in the metal
attenuator cases
-
Jeff; NT1K – the antenna project was a success with his custom design
improvements to make a much better tape measure antenna & also helping
people with assembly and testing of the attenuators. Jeff stayed much later
than planned and his assistance was valued by all he helped.
-
Frandy; N1FJ – came in at my personal invite to help those that needed
it to assemble the attenuators. His help was invaluable.
-
Bob; WA1OJN – helping others to learn about soldering and electronic
assembly and testing their attenuator while building his own attenuator.
And to all those that building and assembling, your participation made it
all worthwhile!
Soon we will be doing a few practice hunts to get everyone familiar with
their new gear. Then we’ll start a full fledged fox hunt and the real fun
begins!
Thank you all for your help and participation!
Larry; W1AST
