I had a discussion with someone at the March (??) meeting about coax
suppliers. I promised to send an email, then of course forgot about
it, then went ahead and forgot the fellow's call sign too. So now that
you know all that...
If you're in the market for serious feedline, try TXM in North
Carolina. Their LDF4-50A equivalent is truly equivalent -- in fact, I
think the jacket is better (it's a whole lot more annoying to cut off
than the true-blue commscope stuff and that's all the empirical
evidence I need). They also have LMR-400 and RG-8 types, and
everything is available by the foot, bulk spool, or in assemblies.
They have grounding stuff too, but I haven't tried any of that yet.
Prices are OK and I've enjoyed the no-frills service so far. See:
