The hunters will assemble at the Wapping Elementary School, 91 Ayers Road in South Windsor,CT, be set up and ready to start by 1pm. The fox will take aroll call at 1pm on the BEARS repeater, 145.110 MHz, PL tone is 77.0Hz. This hunt will be conducted using the repeater for allcommunication and information sharing. We encourage communicationbetween participants and any fixed based stations that can supplyhelpful information to the hunters. Onceyou have spotted the fox you should stop all transmissions. Payattention, if someone says they are going to check an area and you neverhear from them again, that might be a clue. Remember not to hunt therepeater output frequency as that will just lead you to the repeater. The foxwill not be there. You will want to listen on the repeater inputfrequency, 144.510MHz. That is the frequency the fox will betransmitting on. The fox will be located within 20 air miles from the starting point and not within Hartford or Springfield. The fox will be on publicly accessible property that will not requireanything other that a standard passenger car for access. If this is yourfirst hunt, we recommend riding along with someone who has donethis before. Experience hasshow that the first hunters will start arriving in the den about 1 hourafter the start. The event has a two hour time limit not includingsocializing in the den at the end. Currentinformation regarding this and other foxhunts in Connecticut are onYahoo. Message-ID: Antenna Party at Carols, W1LGU's house this Saturday, June 3rd at 10 am. She lives at 30 Line Street, Easthampton, MA. We need people who are comfortable being on the roof and also people on the ground. The antenna is together and just needs a little tweaking before being handed off to the roof. Carol will provide lunch and beverages. For those that don't know Carol, she has been a HCRA member for many years. While she rarely makes the meetings, she always supports thru club thru donations or money and equipment for many, many years. This is a chance for club members to help another ham and long time HCRA member who needs help getting this antenna up. Please come out Saturday to help! Parking is along Line Street at and near Carol's house. My truck will be in Carol's driveway with W1AST plates on it. Rain postpones to Sunday. Rain again postpones to another yet to be announced day. If you plan on attending, please contact Larry, W1AST. Thank you!
