[HCRA] Meeting Tonight, Membership Dues, Raffle, Share The Knowledge, Holiday Party

Just writing to inform you that there is a regular scheduled meeting
tonight at 7:30pm at the Holyoke Medical Center's Auxiliary Conference
Center. This month's guest speaker is Hanz Busch (W1JSB) from Radio-Set-Go.
He will be speaking about his products and portable operating.

HCRA is also accepting membership renewals. If you haven't done so yet,
please renew your membership. Your dues help pay for amateur radio related
events and classes. We've made it very easy with our secure online renewal

HCRA will be selling raffle tickets for the new Elecraft KX2 Transceiver.
We've printed 250 tickets and they are sill just $10 each. Tickets are
available at HCRA events or through Harold (N1FTP at yahoo.com).

Share The Knowledge

That's right, HCRA is hosting another class in our "Share The Knowledge"
series. This class will be about the Arduino, the popular micro controlling
unit (MCU) that could have many uses in your shack. It can be easy as a CW
keyer to remote station management.

Juergen (NV1Q), will be going over the operation of the Arduino with some
simple to program projects. HCRA purchased multiple kits that could be
purchased at meetings for just $10. We have limited quantities left and
will be sold on first come, first served basis.

The class will be held at the Holyoke Medical Center's Aux Conference room
(same place as the meeting) on Saturday, October 22nd 2016 at 9am. All HCRA
members are welcome to attend.

Holiday Party

Even though the holiday season is months away, the joint MTARA/HCRA holiday
will soon approach us. This year MTARA stepped up to plan the Holiday Party
and they have chosen to host the party at the Castle Of Knight's in
Chicopee MA on Sunday, December 4th, 2016 (1-5pm).

It should be an excellent event for all.  Look forward to November's Zero
beat for details and ticket information.
