Hello,
First off, I would like to thank all those who showed up to the joint
HCRA/YCCC area meeting. The meeting was well attended and it appeared
everyone had a great time. If you were part of the 2015 Clublog challenge
and you are a current HCRA member, there will be a certificate available
for your participation. They can be picked up at HCRA events
HCRA is sponsoring a class to obtain or upgrade your amateur radio license.
A few people were asking about upcoming classes and thanks to the folks at
Holyoke Medical Center, it's now possible. We're focusing on the
technicians class but we will also be having study groups for those who
want to upgrade to general or extra.
For more information and signup, you can visit
Http://www.hcra.org click on the classes link in red.
We're looking for someone who could help out as an Extra Class instructor.
If you've been interested in elmering and have the knowledge, help your
fellow amateur radio operators and volunteer.
Another way you can help is to spread the word. If you know of anyone that
is interested in obtaining an amateur radio license or upgrading their
current one, please make them aware that we're having classes. It will be a
3 day course consisting of two weekday nights and an all day Saturday
session followed up with an actual exam. Walkins are welcome to attend the
VE session
Thanks!
- Jeffrey Bail (NT1K)
HCRA President.
