[HCRA] Meeting This Friday (April 3rd, 2015) / Field Day

Just e-mailing you all as a reminder that there is an HCRA meeting taking
place this Friday around 7:30pm at the Holyoke Medical Center's auxiliary
conference center.

This months speaker will be Larry Palmer (NW1X). He will be talking about
high altitude ballooning. There are over 1,600 launches of high altitude
balloons every day. These high altitude balloons are designed to carry
scientific payloads to take a snapshot of the Earth’s upper atmosphere.
They are also used in amateur radio by attaching transmitters which allow
for tracking over the APRS network among other things.

Field Day 2015

Even though Field Day is a few months away, it will be here before you know
it. We are starting to plan to make sure field day is successful as it was
in years past. However this can not be done alone. We need help from you.
We're looking for volunteers to help with setup, tear-down, operators,
information table and even band captains.
