Just informing you that the Hampden County Radio Association has
participated in the ARRL's 2015 Field Day this past weekend. As you may
know, the weather wasn't too friendly and it ended up being a very wet
field day. However that didn't stop us from giving it our best shot. Thanks
to the dedication of the band captains, operators, setup crew and tear down
crew, we've managed to make at least 3,153 contacts. That's excellent!!
Even with the rain, people managed to deal with it and had a great time.
If you have any photos from Field Day, please send them to NT1K at NT1K.com
photos will be used in upcoming issues of Zerobeat and they will be also
used on the website and possibly submitted to the ARRL. Please send your
photos or anything related to Field Day to us!
Big thanks to the Band Captains

Thanks to Ed (KB1NWH) and Dave (AA1YW) for helping out with the trailers,
Also thanks to Alan (N3IMU), Harold (N1FTP), Bruce (KB1TLX) our safety
officer, Karl (KB1RXO), Wally (W1WJW), the above operators and anyone else
who showed up to field day to help out! If I forgot your name, please
e-mail so I can include it on the website.
We've also held a VE session with 5 candidates. We now have one new tech
and a new tech who also passed their general exam. We had one club member
obtain his general and a visitor from the west coast obtained his extra.
Thankfully the rain held long enough.
We had a guest operator from California who found our Field Day through the
ARRL's Field Day finder. He was in the area on other business and helped
out with setup and even made a bunch of QSOs.
We will update the website once everything has been processed.
Enjoy your summer and see you in September!

Jeff (NT1K)
