If you look carefully, you can see that it isn't Amazon selling it for
$70+, it's a third party over in the UK through Amazon.

Looks like Amazon doesn't have it listed in their own inventory yet, but I
suspect they will soon.

Normally it doesn't become physically available until later this month or
early January, if I recall...

It was great to see a lot of you at the Holiday Party this past Monday. It
was a great time and thanks to all those from both HCRA and MTARA that
attended.

Just an FYI that this upcoming weekend is the ARRL's 10 Meter Contest.

It's one of the few contests that HCRA participates in as a club. Last year
we've had a combined score of around 1,144,606 points. That is much better
than the 466,188 points in 2012. Propagation is looking good for this
weekend and I think we can beat last years score as a club.

If you plan on participating in the ten meter contest this weekend, please
make sure to include "Hampden County Radio Association" in the header of
your log file. Avoid using the letters "HCRA" as a club because there are
other clubs that might use the same initials.

Refer to ARRL's 10 Meter Contest Webpage for more information and rules

Don't forget to submit your logs to the ARRL by Jan 13th 2015 (please refer
to the rules about submitting). In addition to submitting your logs to the
ARRL, please also submit your score summery/logs to scores at hcra.org with

Hello All,

I hope you had a great weekend. If you were participating in the 10M
contest this weekend, conditions provided some good propagation and
hopefully you've made some new contacts as well as some points. It was
great hearing a bunch of local people on the air Friday night. It was also
great hearing the W1NY call (op Ed, KB1NWH) being used on the air.

Since we're talking about 10M, I would also like to note that HCRA has a
10M net every Monday at around 7:30pm local on or around 28.375MHz. Anyone
and everyone is more than welcome to hop on and say hello.

Before submitting your logs, please make sure that "Hampden County Radio
Association" is included as your club. Not only will you get credit, your
score will also count towards the club score. We can show others that were
active on the air.

I would also like to ask that you submit your score summary, any soapbox
comments, pictures and anything else you would like to scores at hcra.org .
That way we can get a general idea of how well the club did without having
to wait. We can also use the information for an upcoming zero beat and web
article.

That was fun, hopefully we have similar conditions next year.
