THIS CAME FROM A RETIRED COP AND WHOSE WIFE IS STILL IN THE STATE
POLICE AT THE ACADEMY. NOTE THIS IS A CT PROVISION.
YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK YOUR STATE TO SEE IF THERE IS ONE SIMILAR.

     This should take effect October 1st, 2012. It adds one line to
the existing law 14-296aa.

     Notice that you should carry your Amateur  Radio License while driving.
     Amateur plates show that you had to prove you were an Amateur to
get the plates and is good idea to have.
     Citizen Band is not included in the exception. You have to have a
license issued by the FCC.

     NOTE: This material is being included in updated training at the
Police Academy, and will be disseminated to all
                  Police Departments in Connecticut.
