No foolin' (that was yesterday)! We intentionally waited until after
midnight so you would know for sure it wasn't a joke. :)
So, follow the link below (if you haven't already), print it, download it
or read it on you mobile device. Once again Frandy has done an excellent
job pulling together timely info every active ham needs no know. If you
make it to Friday's meeting please take a moment to say thanks for a job
well done.
Speaking of the meeting I hope you're as excited about both the
presentation and the KX3 raffle. It isn't every month we get to pull two
exciting events together at the same time.
In this day of every shrinking electronics and 'smarter that a fifth
grader' appliances isn't it time we learned about this technology and apply
it to ham radio? That's exactly what Bob/NQ1C will be doing this coming
Friday. Bob has volunteered to show us how to take a tiny little
microcontroller called an "Arduino" and use it to make life easier in the
shack. This is just the tip of the iceberg, once you understand how
versatile and easy to use it is you'll be designing your own 'smart'
accessories. Don't miss it, we need to stay abreast of technology - it's
part of our heritage.
Immediately following Bob we're be holding the drawing for the KX3
transceiver. There are only six tickets left and without a doubt they'll be
gone quickly. Be the first to see me at the meeting and get yours!
Dave/AA1YW will certify all the stubs are in the drum and we will hold the
drawing. As much as I would like to be the winner I truly hope that YOU
have the winning ticket.
The bands are open, the weather is getting warmer and Field Day is just
around the corner - it's a great day to be an amateur radio operator.
See you at the meeting,
Jim/KK1W
