CQWW SSB starts tonight! By far the biggest HF contest of the year, and the
easiest way to work DXCC++ in a single weekend. You don't need any
pre-registration or anything, and anyone can enter. Even technicians with
the 10m slice are welcome to play in this one! The exchange is signal
report+cq zone (for anyone here in W1, that's zone 5), i.e. "five nine
five". Action is on the 6 contest bands (160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10). Use a
free contest logger like N1MM (http://www.n1mm.com/) and submit your log
after the contest, even if you make only 10 Q's. You don't need any big
antennas or amplifiers - anyone can enter and have fun. More rules are at
http://www.cqww.com/. Listen for the N1TA team from the NE1C superstation.
If you have any questions or issues mid-contest, I'll be checking my email
regularly: n1tangoalpha at gmail.com

Most active contesters are now using Logbook of the World...if you need any
more incentive!
