Matt,
Excellent results, a very successful 7 Alpha Field Day effort. My thanks to
you, Jim and the entire HCRA field day committee for all the hard work that
you guys put into planning and managing the HCRA Field Days. A very special
thanks to Ed LaCombe and his crew for all the hard physical labor that they
put in each year to set up and tear down the equipment needed to operate
Field Day. Last but certainly not least, thanks to all the band captains and
their crews, A1 operators all and a credit to the appellation "HAM", for a
job well done.
See you all next year at HCRA Field Day 2012!
73,
Marty W1MJB

Howdy Fellow HCRA Members,Field Day results have been posted online. <
http://www.arrl.org/contest-results-articles>
W1NY had the top score in the Western Massachusetts section (WMA) out of 15
entries. We had the 3rd highest score in the nation of the 21 7A category
entries. And we had the 35th highest score out of the total 1173 field day
scores submitted to the ARRL. Last year we also had the top score in WMA and
3rd highest 7A score in the nation, but this year we moved up from the 53rd
to the 35th in the total scores submitted. I think that number really
reflects all of the hard work and changes that we made this year and I want
to again say thank you to everyone who helped and participated in the 2011
Field Day. I'm looking forward to making more improvements next year and
seeing all these new faces in the club operating next year under the
guidance of all of our great field day regulars!
73,

Matt - W1MSW
