Hello and welcome to the first in what will hopefully be a regular communication from the Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut!

June 4, 2011 - The first Saturday in June will be our annual June swap meet out in our parking lot starting at 8a and running until noon. There was some miscommunication about the date of this swap meet. We appologize for the confusion! It is JUNE 4TH!

This one promises to be extra special because we're going to have a ton of stuff from our back storage room that is up for sale. There are tons of vacuum tubes, radios, electronic test equipment, and more. There will also be thousands of records for sale for 50-cents each inside the building. This is in addition to the many vendors who will come and have their own stuff for sale.

It should be a great meet. If it rains - and lately when hasn't it rained? - we will have the meet inside. So rain or shine it will be a perfect time to come down and see if something strikes your fancy. Admission is free. For those wishing to set up tailgate style are asked to contact John Ellsworth at radioclctr at aol.com to reserve a spot for $10.

June 18, 2011 - The museum is also looking for a few strong volunteers for a 4 hour project on Saturday, June 18th when we are setting up walls in our back library area. The panels are heavy but if we get enough volunteers to help out, the job should be a quick one. If you're interested in volunteering, contact Chris Watts at info at vrcmct.org and we'll get your name on the list.

We hope to see you at the museum this summer!
