Are you ready for fun tomorrow evening at our auction? I hope so, you
wouldn't want everyone else to have ALL the fun, would you?

We've got some great donations on the line (but can always use more). There
will be super deals as always, lots of stuff to look at, food (courtesy of
Venture CrewDX), friends and fun! Admission is free so you really don't want
to miss it!

Setup starts at the church at 6:00 PM, the auction will start promptly at
7:00 PM. Here's a few tips to help things move quickly and get you the best
price too!

1. Be sure to mark your items with your name, call (if you have one) and a
minimum bid. That way when we sell your item you can collect the money AND
we won't have sold it for less than you were looking for either.
2. Try to assemble items of small value into boxes or bins so we can auction
them off as a group. You'll make more (as we have a $1.00 minimum sale this
year), the auction will move faster and your more expensive items will get
the attention they deserve.
3. Selling? It really helps to at least knock the mouse feces out of the
chassis before you bring it to the auction! A little swipe with a rag and
some indication of condition and operability go a long way too in getting
you the value your cherished item deserves.
4. Please leave you computer monitors and printers at home. Experience says
they don't sell - you will end up moving them back and forth to your house.
And no, we won't dispose of them for you :>(
5. Bigger buyers may 'run a tab' with the prior permission of our accounting
team.
6. When the auction is over we will cash out and pay the sellers. If you
have to leave early please leave your contact info and we will send a check
with your sales.
7. One more time - we have a $1.00 minimum this year. This means if your
precious heirloom sells for 75 cents we keep it all, if it sells for $1.50
you get fifty cents. So yes, it will be best for you to combine these
treasures - thanks!

Venture Crew DX (510) will be on hand running the concession stand tomorrow
evening. Expected menu is hot dogs, sodas, coffee, donuts and maybe some
home baked goodies. Bring your appetite and a little cash and we promise you
won't leave hungry!

We have raffle tickets available for a $5 donation. The prize this year is a
Wouzon dual band HT. This little gem garnered a nice review in the latest
QST and comes complete with battery and drop in charger. Tickets are going
fast, get yours early - before the auction starts.

Marty (W1MJB) will be taking reservations for the December 8th Holiday Party
at the Steaming Tender. Tickets are only $15/person, a really good price for
a great buffet and an evening of cheer with your friends.

That's if folks, see you tomorrow evening for an exciting time!
