Hey gang,
Only one day to go until the next HCRA meeting. Tomorrow's subject is
'Alternative Power'. With our ever increasing need for 'more power' and the
increasing costs that go along with it wouldn't it be nice to make some of
that power yourself? That's what Ellis, N1MWJ will be talking about at the
February 5th meeting.
Ellis uses a combination of solar and micro-turbine that satisfies a large
percentage of his homes power requirements. Learn how he has accomplished
this, as well as ideas about how you should still remain 'on the grid' and
much more from someone that has "been there/done that".
We've got a excellent and apropos raffle prize tomorrow too, a 12W solar
panel is the first prize, with some other good items to round out the list.
The meeting starts at 7:30 and Ellis will be presenting shortly after the
meeting begins. Expect the usual (not the unexpected) at every HCRA meeting
- coffee, donuts, raffles, but most of all the camaraderie of the best group
of 'amateurs' in the Pioneer Valley. The weather promises to be good so you
don't have any excuse not to attend.
Oh, just in case you need an excuse how about, "I'm going to the HCRA
meeting to learn how to save money on our utility bills"? That should work!
'73.
