[HCRA] General License Study Group & VE Session over the Holiday Week

Give yourself the gift of HF privileges this Holiday season and make good on that promise of upgrading to General before the end of 2010. 

The HCRA and Venture Crew 510 will be sponsoring a General License study group on December 27th and December 30th. The course will be held during the daytime hours of 9 AM to 5 PM. 

The agenda for Monday, December 27th will include a full day of instruction on the radio/antenna/electrical theory and FCC regulations needed to pass the General exam. Practical examples and hands on demonstrations will also be presented. Candidates will have 2 1/2 days to study the material and take practice exams at home. 

On Thursday, December 30th, the class will spend some time ( from 9 to 2 ) going over the question pool. More hands-on demonstrations are planned for this day. 

At 2 PM on December 30th, an open-to-the-public VE test session will be conducted. All test elements will be available. Bring $15, a photocopy of your current license (to be filed with your upgrade), and a picture ID.

Heights Hall 
118 Mt. Vernon St. 
Chicopee, MA 

The course is open to any and all current Technician Class operators, regardless of affiliation with the HCRA. 
The cost for the course will be $0. 
It is strongly suggested that you have a copy of the ARRL General Class License Manual. Orders for books can be made in advance. $25. If practical, arrangements can be made to deliver the books before the class starts. 

Lunch is not included. Coffee and soft drinks will be available. Bring your own lunch OR we will take cash orders and send out for sandwiches and/or pizza. 

Registration for the class is requested (but NOT required) so that we may plan accordingly. Walk-ins are welcome.
