The following web site is a guy down in Southington, CT that deisnged to my specs a custom antenna bracket for my 2007 Honda Ridgeline. If you want to see my mount, it's the BKT mount with pictures of my truck on the web site.
But if you have a vehicle where mounting your antenna is turning into a project or you need a good, strong alternative, check out Dick Post, N7EMW's web site and email him. He can make you a custom bracket or modify one that he already makes for your vehicle.

You can see pictures of my bracket at: http://www.repdesign.us/gpage26.html
Another good source for antenna mounting on vehicles is: http://www.k0bg.com/
It doesn't matter whether you are a new or old ham, mounting antennas can be a challenge. Check out these two resources and maybe it'll be easier for you? remember the bands are and will be improving in the next few years and HF will open up. Mobile HF is great fun when the bands cooperate. As well as mounting VHF and other antennas.
73 and happy mounting,
