[HCRA] Field Day - 40 CW Station

OK and as promised. Here is the setup George and I will be running for Field
Day this year. Not much different than years past. Hopefully we can avoid
some of the equipment problems from last year and even better our score.

 

40 CW Station

 

Icom IC756 Pro-II as the main rig.

Dell laptop for logging.

Small pop-up for housing.

Either a dipole, Moxon or EDZ as the main antenna, we are also considering a
small second antenna for close in work.

Power provided by on site generator.

 

Last year, even with a lot of down time because of equipment problems we
STILL managed to kick the 20M SSB stations @$$ - I imagine we can easily
repeat that feat again this year, IF they even want to take the challenge!

 

Anyone that would like to sit down and operate is more than welcome. George
and I have no problem taking some time off to walk around and 'chit/chat'
with the other stations!

 

New to CW but want to give it a try. We can and will take the time to show
you how to use the station and software and will sit with you and help with
your contacts as well. This is a good opportunity for you to get some
coaching in CW without the worry of screwing anything up. Come on down!

 

It is all about the fun, isn't it?

 

With the weather as bad as its been lately I'm betting we'll have a great
weekend - it can't stay raining for the entire month, can it?
