And it is done!
Field Day 2009 is now history, at least as far as submitting the log goes. I
finished up the logs tonight, assembled all the documentation and it is off
to the ARRL tomorrow as soon as the USPS opens.
I've updated all the information on the web page as well. Check out our
score; see some pictures and look at the huge participant list and you'll
get an idea of the success of FD2009. See it all at:
http://www.hcra.org/fd_2009.htm
Although the score was slightly less then FD2008 most of that can be
attributed to the lack of a GOTA station this year. What we did achieve was
a GREAT Field Day. Participants numbered over 60, we had great youth
participation, four new band captains, a new cook, a new PIO and a new FD
chairperson. What I saw was a laid back but well executed FD with a lot of
happy people. Food was good, and the weather was reasonable, considering how
bad it has been since then! Too bad the sun was spotless for the weekend.
I would like to thank each and every one of you that helped make FD, the
HCRA way, another one for the record books.
Time to start planning for next year!
