Hi All,
I know that for many of you the 10m contest was a bit slow and
frustrating. However, for me it was a completely different
experience. I took KK1W up on his gracious offer to come over to his
house and I was able to work HF for the first time. Actually, it was
the first time I worked any of the amateur bands. What a blast!
Being a person who never has a shortage of things to say, it was
strange to get tongue tied now and again and boy did I make plenty of
mistakes. But both Jim and Eric helped me through them. Thanks Jim
for making your station available to us and showing me the ropes.
Also thanks to Ed KB1NWH for my first QSO and to Tom N1MUV for
stopping by to say hello as he was moving up and down the band. I
learned a ton yesterday and learned that I have a many tons more to
learn.
