[HCRA] 10 meters this morning

Well gang, looks like last night's opening isn't ready to repeat itself this
morning. The band is pretty dead right now.

TIP:

Listen to a few of the 'big guns' when they are calling CQ. If no one is
answering them it is a pretty good guess conditions aren't good. If they are
working stations but you can't hear the other station it's a good indicator
things may open up soon. In that case keep looking (or CQ'ing) - you may be
rewarded with some new contacts.

If the band is dead the good stations don't hear much either. Those stations
will hear the weak ones first. This means a 'big gun' somewhere out there
may hear our 'weak signal' as the band starts to open.

But if AA1JD or N8RA aren't getting any answers it may be time for a lunch
break!

Good luck, don't forget to both send in your log to ARRL and send me the
breakdown by mode and score so K1JAW can create the certificates. Anyone
needing any help with log submission? Feel free to drop me a note, I'll be
glad to help.

'73 and KB,

Jim, 1W
