I have been using this: http://thunderstorm.vaisala.com/explorer.html
For tracking lightning, but it only updates every 20 minutes and is delayed
by 20 minutes.

There is a new network at: http://www.wwlln.org/
that updates automatically every 10 minutes with nice fresh data on google
earth.  It seems to show at least as much lightning as the Vaisala network
and lets you zoom in better.

Just don't believe the exact positions if you zoom in to street level, I
haven't read all their reports yet but it seems that it may have position
uncertainties in the couple of km range.
