It's time to put aside the 'summer bummer' of 2009. No nice weather, no
sunspots and no fun. Time to get back in the groove and enjoy a fun evening
with your ham radio friends and take in a great speaker at the same time.

Back after a few years vacation from HCRA Dan's subject tonight will be,

"Avoiding Exploitation of the Amateur Radio Service"

Dan was part of a recent ad-hoc committee at the ARRL investigating how
other agencies attempt to 'use' our Amateur Radio Service. Sometimes these
uses push the envelope of our FCC charter. Dan will show us how to provide
the community service we should without being a 'free source'. N1ND will
share with us the committee guidelines on how best the goals of service and
legality. This is a subject of interest to all hams and of course
particularly important to those of us involved in emergency communications.

Dan is a life long ham with a varied background in all things radio, always
active on the bands and an interesting and informative speaker. Mark your
calendar now to make sure you don't miss this important meeting.

Of course expect the usual at every HCRA meeting. Good friends, interesting
conversation, raffles, coffee and donuts but most importantly  - FUN!
