Hey gang,

The latest issue of Zero Beat is on the web and in the mail. Key things to
look for this month are:

1.	The May 1st club meeting. This meeting promises to be a good one.
Richard Thompson, author and Dean of Math & Science at the college of St.
Rose will be our guest speaker. Richard will be sharing his research on how
reliable communications were accomplished during World War II. I wouldn't
want to miss this one. Considering the subject matter you may even want to
bring a friend.
2.	New England QSO party kicks off at 4:00 PM Saturday. HCRA finished
3rd in New England last year, can we repeat or better our performance? More
at http://www.neqp.org <http://www.neqp.org/> .
3.	The Northeast's biggest hamfest, NEARfest in Deerfield, NH. Early
birds on Friday May 1st and of course from the crack of dawn of Saturday the
2nd. See http://www.near-fest.com <http://www.near-fest.com/> for more
information.
4.	Field Day planning for this years HCRA Field Day is continuing. Are
you on board?

Lots of stuff happening, don't stand on the side - just jump right in!

"73 and see you Friday evening.

Thanks as always for your never ending support of amateur radio and HCRA as
well, you make if fun for everyone.

Jim, KK1W
