Tonight is the first night of a condensed Technician License Class sponsored by BSA Venture Crew 510 and HCRA.
The class will only meet on 4 occasions:
Tuesday April 7th 7:00 PM to 8:15 Introduction
Tuesday April 14th 7:00 PM to 8:15 Preliminary Q & A Session
Saturday April 18th 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Six Hours of short presentations and Practicing the Questions
Sunday April 19th 9:00 AM VE Session
All sessions to be held at the Moose Family Center #1849, 244 Fuller Rd, Chicopee, MA
No pre-registration required. Participate at any or all meetings.
Cost for the class $0
ARRL Ham Radio License Manual highly suggested, $25 (Books for sale at meetings)
This class will require the student to read material at home and come to class prepared to discuss questions.
The emphasis of the class will be to prepare for the test by reviewing the 397 questions in the question pool.

Anyone willing to help with presentations on Saturday, please contact me. I can set you up with a powerpoint presentation or bring your own. You will only have 30 minutes to do an entire module. Please contact me soon so I can schedule you and avoid duplication of effort. The modules to be discussed on the Saturday are:
• T1 - FCC Rules, station license responsibilities
• T2 - Control operator duties
• T3 - Operating practices
• T4 - Radio and electronic fundamentals
• T5 - Station setup and operation
• T6 - Communications modes and methods
• T7 - Special operations
• T8 - Emergency and Public Service Communications
• T9 - Radio waves, propagation, and antennas
• T0 - Electrical and RF Safety
Any VEs willing to help out on Sunday morning (9: AM to ?) ? Please let me know.
