Hey folks,

I had occasion to hire a tree climber this morning to recover one of my R/C
airplanes that didn't quite make it back to the landing strip. Jon Greene
was recommend to me by a local contractor.

Anyway, to make a long story short Jon belted up, went about 60' up the pine
tree, lowered the plane down on a rope and then rappelled back to mother
earth. All in about 30 minutes and at a very reasonable price. I was talking
with him and he has just started his own business. With the great economy we
are in he is always looking for work.

If you need someone to climb a tower, or string some wire antennas in trees,
I would say he is your man. He is not experienced with tower erection but
with 5 years working for Northern Tree is very comfortable with just about
anything else. I asked him if he would be interested in doing this type of
antenna work and he said he sure would. He's based out of Southbridge but is
willing to travel. According to his business card he is fully insured as
well.

Here's his info:

I have no involvement with Jon other than he was on time, did what he said
he could do and charged a reasonable rate. Based on that he gets my
recommendation. If you're in need of some skyhook work why not give him a
call?
