Hey folks,

Many of you probably are aware of this great service offered by ARRL but
just in case you're not (I wasn't) here's the whole story.

Ever wonder what/where/when a article was published? Just picked up a old
(new to you) SB-200 at the HCRA auction and want to research some back
articles? Want to do some research on a specific subject like VLF but don't
know where in your old stack of QST's to start looking? You can answer all
these questions and more simply by pointing your browser to:
http://www.arrl.org/members-only/qqnsearch.html. There you will find an
extensive database search engine that will dive into the archives and give
you a 'Google' like list of matching articles.

It is important to understand this service is both an index and an archive.
Indexed magazines are QST, QEX, NCJ and Ham Radio. Archives are only
available for QST from 1915 to 2004. An index is just that. Enter your
search terms and you will get a list of magazines and articles. If it is in
QST earlier than 2004, and you are an ARRL member, you will have access to
the archive as well. You can click the link and a printable pdf will open on
your computer.

So is this cool or what? We can all complain at times what ARRL doesn't do
for us but here is a great example of your dues providing a valuable service
to both members and the ham community in general.

Anyway, just thought I would send this out for your information. Don't
forget the auction is only a few weeks away.

Do you have anything you would like to donate?
