Greetings all,
~ PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT?!?..What the heck is a Pre-Announcement? ~ Simple, it's just a way to get the word out about a seminar that's in the planning stages, but, will soon be offered to the greater Ham community. In olden days this would be called giving people a "heads-up."
So without further ado, here is the Pre-Announcement:
Do you have a Packet Radio setup in your shack that's collecting dust? Are you new to Packet Radio and want to know how to enhance your packet experience? Have you thought about getting into Packet Radio, but wanted to know what gear you would need and/or who is out there to "packet" with? If the answer to any of these questions is YES, then my friend you have the makings of joining the ranks of the "Packeteers."
The Mount Tom Amateur Repeater Association (MTARA) in conjunction with Brian Rogers - N1URO will be offering a Packet Radio Seminar in the not-too-distant future. Cold(er) weather will soon be upon us and we all like to spend time in the shack. With a packet station in place, you can add to your enjoyment of the hobby. In most cases you already have a lot of the gear you need already in your shack!
Brian - N1URO is one of the leaders and innovators in the use and enjoyment of Packet Radio. To learn more about him, please visit his website located at this URL: http://www.n1uro.net
The MTARA as you may know is one of the premier Amateur Radio Associations in Massachusetts. To learn more about the MTARA, please visit their website located at this URL: http://www.mtara.org
While this seminar is being sponsored by the MTARA, and conducted by Brian - N1URO, please note that this event is an open event, and all Amateur Radio Operators as well as those interested in Packet Radio and Amateur Radio, will be welcomed and are encouraged to attend. Registration information will follow when the actual seminar date is announced.
Thanks for taking the time to read this e-mail and please feel free to share this pre-announcement with others (but don't spam thank-you).
