Good afternoon everyone!
The start of this year's NEQP is scant hours away. Are you ready for the
4:00 PM bell?
As discussed at last night's meeting NEQP offers a lot for us New England
hams.
1. A chance to be the 'sought after' station on the air.
2. An easy, laid back way to try out contesting.
3. A chance to work some additional states for your WAS (WAS is an award,
not a contest)
4. A chance to get some nice wallpaper for the shack.
5. A chance to win the HCRA plaque for high score, Hampden County (single op
category)
6. A chance to get HCRA a top ranking on the club competition as well.
Read more about it at: http://neqp.org/
HCRA stations reported to be QRV (on the air) for this year's event.
K1KAA
KB1JVF
KC1V
N1BAA
W1NY (KB1NWH op)
KB1MU
WB1Z (KB1JVI, KK1W ops)
Mobile:
N1JF (N1FJ, WB1DBY ops)
And I'm sure there will be others.
Remember, the contest starts at 4:00 PM Saturday until 1:00 AM Sunday and
then again at 9:00 AM Sunday until 8:00 PM. You exchange on phone will be
call, signal report, county and state. On CW it would be (for Hampden
County) call, signal report, HMDMA.
You get points for QSO's and multipliers for states, Canadian Provinces and
countries. Outside of New England gets multipliers for New England counties.
Good luck and don't forget to turn in your log when you're done and be sure
to remember to put HCRA in the club field as well.
