Hey gang,
It's that time again and the electronic copy of March's Zero Beat is now
posted on the web. If you are one of the few that don't get it via email and
the good ole' USPS hasn't dropped yours in the mailbox as yet you can get
your own. Simply point your browser to:
http://www.hcra.org/zerobeat/mar08.pdf and see what is happening in March.
Lots of news, changes in the club, former officers moving to warmer weather
- its all in there!
What isn't in there is a more detailed announcement for this month's Show &
Tell. Like everything else in the world sometimes things slip through the
'electronic cracks' - never to be heard of again! However we were able to
reach into the abyss and retrieve the article! Here it is:
http://www.hcra.org/Show%20&%20Tell%2008%20Article.pdf so read it and get
into those projects in time for Friday's meeting. No matter what you may
think there is still time!
At stake here is a $50 gift certificate to HRO for your efforts. Remember
what it took to win last year? Sometimes its not the effort but the thought
that make all the difference.
So in the true spirit of HCRA March brings us to a time to get back to our
roots of amateur radio. I believe some of the words are "advancement of the
radio art"? We need to take time to remember that behind all the new
science, off the shelf components and other events going on around us it
really comes down to just one thing. Having fun with amateur radio.
Building, operating, contesting, emergency communication, etc. All are part
of our tremendous hobby and HCRA will be strongest when we remember to keep
them all in balance. This truly is a hobby that offers something for
everyone!
Lets see those projects Friday night!
