HI All:
Day 1 is over! We had no sunspots, but the propagation was about as
good or better than FD. 20 meters was rocking most of the day, to the
point that we had to take breaks or risk going horse. Ed reminded me
that after the Special event station was down and broken apart we still
had a lot of work to do. We had covered from Canada, to Calif, to TX, to
Fla.. and one real weird connection... Northern Ireland.. The tally for
today with 40 and 20 meters together was somewhere near 300. Most wanted
info on QSL cards.. So we have some work to do.. :-)
Good work.. ;-)
The hours for tomorrow will be from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M. local. So you still
have time to get to the radio and contact a "Special Event Station".
weird thing, from 11 A.M. only 1 catfish came in to be weighed, and it
had died and didn't qualify to be included in a "catch and release"
derby. So while the Derby side was pretty quiet, all the excitement was
being generated by the Ham's !
Have a great day!
