Hi Jim,
Ed said you had a good signal on phone, I hope to work you on cw as well.
We have worked K1VOI, AB1HG, KB1MU (cw), KB1OAP and K1KI (cw) for locals.
We have 4 or 5 states in the log including SD and 4 or 5 DX multipliers. We
are trying out lots of new stuff this year and its working for the most part
:).
The best part is we are having a good time! I can play in the workshop
while Ed does all the hard work making contacts :)

George, kc1v

Hey gang!
Don't forget the ARRL 10 Meter contest is still in full swing. It started
last night at 7:00 PM and will run until Sunday at 7:00 PM. There is DX and
contacts to be had out there, take your time and tune down from 28.500 to
28.300 and listen for the signals. Signals come and go so be patient and act
quickly when you hear something. I just missed a South Dakota station this
morning because I waited too long.
This year HCRA members can earn some nice certificates just for making as
few as 5 contacts and sending in your log with HCRA as the club affiliate.
Check it out at the HCRA website at: http://www.hcra.org/,
Lets see how many HCRA members will send their logs in this year. Wouldn't
it be great to have 20 or more of us out there having fun?
So far I've worked one member, KC1V (KB1NWH at the controls) and he told me
he had worked Pat, KB1OAP plus I know K1JAW has been on so I know at least
four of us are out there.
And for you CW ops, don't forget the low end of the band - lots of good DX
down there too, I heard Columbia and worked Aruba so far . If you have a
beam keep it pointed South for best results on DX, west or south west for
USA contacts.
Have fun, type to you later,
Jim, KK1W
