To all,

In reference to an email yesterday about providing assistance for the
Extreme Makeover / Home Edition -  Athens, VT, please cancel any plans
you might have put in place.  While our communications were asked for by
our local law officials, we have contacted ARRL for interpretation of
the FCC Rules and Regulations of the commercial effects on this
deployment and they stated we should not participate as this is deemed a
"commercial venture".

In the mean time, Verizon will be installing a temporary cell repeater
in the town so communications will be available to the crews.  While
this is very disappointing to those who wanted and volunteered to help,
this effort while benefiting a family in need, also benefits many
commercial ventures along the way.  Thanks to everyone who replied to
and offered to help and to those who raised the "commercial" flag.
