Hey gang,

I have just posted this month's Zero Beat on the website. If you have not
(or do not) receive your ZB via email or USPS you can still find out what is
happening this month by going to: http://www.hcra.org/zerobeat/oct07.pdf.
This month's issue is again chock full of neat stuff for everyone. I won't
let the cat out of the bag, you'll have to check it out for yourself if you
really want to know!

I'll tell you a few things though. First, make sure you have set aside this
Friday evening for our regular meeting. Our guest speaker will be HCRA's
very own Bob LaFlamme, W1SQ. Bob will be on hand to show and tell you how to
run old or new software on your PC and not screw anything up. Isn't that a
cool idea, especially if you share a computer with a 'less understanding'
member of your family. The meeting starts at 7:30 so don't miss out.

Second, this Friday will be your last chance to renew/join HCRA and be able
to take advantage of the 'Sign-up Raffle'. Held every year it is HCRA's way
to thank you for early renewal. This year's prize is a Yaesu FT-1802M two
meter mobile rig. This transceiver, worth over $130, could be yours for
nothing more than renewing before the end of the evening. No extra purchase
required, all current members of HCRA at the end of the evening will
automatically be entered into the drawing. It is HCRA's way of saying thank
you for your support. More information available at: http://www.hcra.org/.

So there you have it, a great presentation, fantastic raffle prize, coffee &
donuts and of course the best group of amateur operators in the Pioneer
Valley. See you this Friday!
