Greetings all,

As the old saying goes; “Don’t like the weather in New England? Wait a few
moments…it’ll change!” When it changes, will you be prepared?

The time to gear up for severe weather is before it happens. In addition to
any other supplies and equipment you may have please check into buying a
NOAA weather radio. Several vendors offer them include the American Red
Cross, Walmart, Radio Shack, and Amazon online.

When selecting a weather radio, please be sure to get one with SAME
technology. SAME stands for S-pecific A-rea M-essage E-ncoding. What this
means is, if your radio has SAME technology, these radios will tone off for
not only weather but also for hazardous materials spills as well as other
hazards.
