Hey gang,

It's almost time for the April HCRA meeting. The newsletter has been
printed, mailed and published. If you are one of the minority that is still
getting the black & white USPS edition you may want to visit the HCRA web
site: http://www.hcra.org/zerobeat/apr07.pdf for a look.

A great issue this month, some good articles and interesting pictures. I'm
not going to spill the beans about the issue; it is up to you to go read it
for yourself!

Our April 6th meeting features none other than our own Gary Thomas, AA1UE.
You've seen him on TV talking about financial planning, now see him in
person discussing amateur satellite communications. Gary has been active on
the hamsats for years and has been the satellite station at many HCRA Field
Days. There are a lot of new 'birds' in the sky, many of which can be worked
with simple UHF/VHF equipment. Learn how easy and inexpensive it is to try
out a new mode of amateur radio. In addition to the demo there will be time
for Q&A after the meeting. I'm sure many will leave with enough knowledge to
set up their own earth station.

It is also getting close to Field Day and I know KB1JVF will be looking for
volunteers for this grand event at the end of June. From the chatter already
bouncing around of the FD mailing list I think HCRA FD'07 could be one of
the best ever. Do you want to find out more, check out the mailing list at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hcra-fd/? This list is the place to learn
about all things Field Day at HCRA.

And of course expect the usual at every HCRA meeting. Coffee, donuts,
conversation, raffle prizes and the best group of hams this side of the
Berkshire Hills.

See you on April 6th,

Jim, KK1W
