Greetings again!
I have unearthed a couple more items that are surplus to my needs. I have:
Santec 2-meter FM handheld transceiver, Mod ST-144µP (0.1 to 3.5 W), and
Santec 70 cm FM handheld transceiver, Mod ST-7/T (50 mW to 3.0 W) , both
with Instruction Manual. Now, the NiCads may be pretty well shot, but the
units do receive and transmit with an external power source (I have one 12 V
cigarette lighter adapter), and if youre really clever, you should be able
to build or buy another NiCad pack. I have the wall wart charger and the
charger stand. The downside to these ruggedly built units is that they lack
the ability to transmit PLL (CTCSS) tones. Theres also an external handheld
mic that works with either unit. The ST-144µP has an LCD readout; the ST-7/T
has thumbwheels. Own both for $30, or make a reasonable offer. Pickup only,
please.
Older, no-name-brand desktop PC w/ NEC 13-inch display. This is now running
Windows 98(!), probably has a 250-MHz processor and maybe a 4 MB HD (sorry,
I checked recently to see if it still worked, but I neglected to gather the
specifics). It has a US Robotics 56 kB modem, mouse, keyboard and no USB
ports (although adapter cards are pretty cheap). This makes a great ham
shack logging computer; its also just fine for word processing thats
what I used it for mostly and an older version of MS-Word is on it (along
with other stuff like ARGO and an older version of CT). Ive got some disks
and info that came with it (another ham used to own it). Its all yours for
$30, or make a reasonable offer. Pickup only, please.
