Hello to all
.
.Isolated to Scattered Severe Thunderstorms are possible away from the
immediate South and East Coasts of Massachusetts Friday Afternoon and
Evening with Damaging Winds and Large Hail the primary threats. Isolated
to scattered flash flooding may occur with any training thunderstorms
that occur in the region Friday Afternoon and Evening
.
.SKYWARN Activation with Ops at NWS Taunton is likely Friday Afternoon
and Evening per latest NWS Taunton Hazardous Weather Outlook
.
Isolated to scattered Severe Thunderstorms are possible away from the
immediate south and east coasts of Massachusetts Friday Afternoon and
Evening. Damaging winds, large hail and the potential for isolated to
scattered flash flooding reports. Any flooding will be localized and
nowhere near the extent of the Floods of 2006 that occurred in Southeast
New Hampshire, Northeast Massachusetts and Southern Maine earlier this
month. A frontal system will approach Southern New England Friday
Afternoon and Evening and if enough sunshine and destabilization occurs
during the day Friday, conditions will be sufficient for isolated to
scattered severe thunderstorms capable of large hail and damaging winds.
If things remain cloud covered, the risk for severe weather would be
reduced. Assuming enough destabilization and sunshine for thunderstorms,
they may train over the same areas resulting in localized flash flooding
in urban areas and near any small rivers and streams. The timeframe
would be anytime between 2-8 PM EDT.
SKYWARN Activation with Ops at NWS Taunton is likely Friday Afternoon and
Evening per latest NWS Taunton Hazardous Weather Outlook. The next
message will be posted by 830 AM Friday Morning. Below is the NWS Taunton
