Hi everyone,
As of 9:00 AM this morning the our web site www.hcra.org is back up. It
seems there was a problem with a locked-up server that went unnoticed over
the weekend. All set now so no need to worry any longer. Unfortunately it
was out of our control until businesses opened on Monday.
Now you can get the latest copy of Zero Beat (it's a good one), see who will
be speaking this Friday (Larry, WR1B on kit building), get a chance to win
the raffle (a Magellan GPSr) at this Friday's meeting, learn about upcoming
events, sign up for Field Day and toss your name in for the upcoming
elections.
Thanks for your patience over the weekend with the web site. Eric re-sent
the electronic version of Zero Beat with the file attached, just in case it
took longer than anticipated for the web site to return. One note, Eric's
reference to the file 'not being dial up friendly' didn't mean you can't get
it via dialup. It was just a reminder because of the file size it takes a
few minutes to download via dialup.
I hope to see everyone at this Friday's meeting and as always thanks for
your support of HCRA and all it represents to amateur radio in the Pioneer
Valley. Don't forget about NEQP starting Saturday afternoon (www.neqp.org).
Who will win the 'high score Hampden County' plaque this year???
'73 and ... What have you done this week for your club or your hobby???
Jim, KK1W
