The Regional Council for Piemonte and Valle d'Aosta of A.R.I. - Associazione 
Radioamatori Italiani sponsors the Torino 2006 Award for the XX Olympic 
Winter Games. Participation is open to licenced amateurs and SWLs throughout 
the world. In order to get the certificate, participants will have to 
contact the countries (DXCC Entities) that hosted the past editions of the 
Olympic Winter Games as well as the special event callsigns aired by the 
various ARI branches in the province of Torino. Contacts must be made 
between 10 October 2005 and 26 February 2006. Fifteen special callsigns 
representing the fifteen disciplines on the programme of the Olympic Winter 
Games will be aired by the the various ARI branches in the province of 
Torino in accordance with the following "approach march" schedule: October 
10 - November 9, 2005 IO1ALP, IO1BIA, IO1BOB, IO1CRO and IO1CUR; November 10 
- December 9, 2005 IO1FRE, IO1FSK, IO1HOC, IO1JUM and IO1LUG; December 10, 
2005 - January 9, 2006 IO1NOR, IO1SHO, IO1SKE, IO1SNO and IO1SPE; January 10 
- February 9, 2006 all of the previous calls. IO1ARI will be used by a few 
ARI branches in Piemonte Region, between October 10, 2005 and February 26, 
2006, on the occasion of special olympic events (typically, the passing of 
the Olympic Torch Relay). II1OWG will be used by Torino ARI branch during 
the Games (February 10-26, 2006). All of the contacts shall be confirmed 
automatically via the bureau by the various ARI branches that will activate
