[HCRA] HOLIDAY GATHERING

I would like to second Ed's comments and add a few of my own.

A big 'THANK YOU' to Ed for taking time out of his busy schedule during the
holiday season to research, organize, purchase, deliver, decorate and
clean-up for the 78 folks that attended the HCRA Holiday Gathering this
year. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of hard working volunteers our
club has.

The food was good and there was plenty for everyone. The hall was decorated
nicely, we had lots of raffle prizes and of course - 'Ham Jeopardy' was a
hit again this year. You know the party was a success when there are still
over 20 people hanging around after 10:00 PM!

Thanks to everyone who pitched in to 'pitch in' the trash and help with the
cleanup. I even have pictures of our 'prez' running the vacuum. (I think
it's because it looks like a Zamboni). Sources close to Johnny say this
never happens at home, pictures were taken to document the event.

Don't forget next month's meeting, the first of 2007. John Ellsworth from
the Vintage Radio & Communications Museum in Windsor, CT will be along to
show and tell us about the gear of yesteryear. See more about his museum at:

The 10 Meter contest is just around the corner (this coming weekend). I'll
be sending out more reminders soon as well as posting some info on the web
