[HCRA] 6m Activity Night

Yes it is Wednesday again and there should be some people on 52.51 FM
beginning at 7pm until 8pm. I won't be one of them as I am busy packing and
getting a few things done before I leave on vacation. So look for Mike,
Quentin, Jack or any of the other regulars that appear. While I am away
Mike, KF4PPF will be at the helm. Just remind him not to hit any buttons and
he should be fine! HI HI.

 

With Ernesto coming through the region look for some potential ducting
chances on SSB and CW over the next few days. It'll follow a north south
line probably so you may find Florida and Canada around.

 

We have been talking about doing a bit more experimenting on 6m. We may
start the night on FM but there is interest in exploring digital modes and
SSB. Perhaps in October we will explore meeting between 7 and 715pm on FM
then alternating various modes to see what its like. Anyone interested in a
particular mode sing out and we can work on it.

 

The whole purpose of the net is to get people on 6m and realizing how much
fun one can have.
