[HCRA] Club Meeting tomorrow evening (Friday), September 9th

Hey gang,

Less than 24 hours to the first HCRA meeting of the new season. And what a
great meeting we have scheduled!

Guest speaker tomorrow evening will be Dan Henderson, N1ND. Dan is Contest
Branch manager for the ARRL. His presentation will include an update on
amateur radio emergency efforts in the aftermath of Katrina.

A great welcome back raffle prize will be a Yaesu VX-2R, a dual band HT.
This is just one of over $1300 worth of raffle prizes scheduled this year.
You won't want to miss a chance at any of these throughout the year.
Beginning the meeting will be 'Tech Corner' by John, N1JIO. John will be
focusing on how to get the most out of our new HT. Pay attention, you might
be the winner of one tonight!

John, Kx1x will be focusing tonight on forming a 'new crew' - Venture Crew
DX. Do you know of a young person that might want to be part of that crew?

Don't forget to bring your filled out application along to the meeting. It
will greatly speed up the  renewal process and Greg will be very happy.
Unlike gas prices dues have not increased this year.

Raffle tickets will also be on sale for the grand prize at the November
auction, a Yaesu VX-7R, tri-band HT with extended receive. Worth over $300
it can be yours for as little as $1 a ticket or a book of six for $5. I know
November is still two months away but you could start digging out stuff for
the auction now. Who needs eBay when we have the HCRA auction?
